Hotel Villa Bordoni organises both residential and non-residential cooking courses and offers lessons based on both Tuscan and other regional dishes. We are also able to custom make programmes to suit specific diets or levels of expertise, and upon request, we can also provide intense, several day programmes.


Non-Residential Cooking Programmes (run all year)

Lunch Class

Arrive at Villa Bordoni (transfers available from the town of Greve upon request) 10a.m. Meet in the restaurant bar for morning coffee followed by a short tour of the hotel grounds and wine cellar, carved from the rock underneath the villa. You will then meet one of our chefs, who will lead you on your discovery tour of Italian cooking. You will prepare a three course seasonal menu using vegetables and herbs from our gardens and Villa Bordoni’s own extra virgin olive oil. The menu will include a fresh pasta course and you will also gain insight into the wonderful art of combining particular sauces with particular types of pasta.

After all your hard work, wander through to the hotel’s enchanting walled garden for an aperitivo before sitting down to a leisurely lunch of the delicious dishes you helped to prepare.

Dinner Class

Arrive at Villa Bordoni (transfers available from the town of Greve on request) 4.p.m. Meet in the restaurant bar for afternoon tea followed by a short tour of the hotel grounds. You will then meet one of our chefs who will lead you on your discovery tour of Italian cooking. You will prepare a FOUR course seasonal menu using vegetables and herbs from our gardens and Villa Bordoni’s own extra virgin olive oil. The menu will include a fresh pasta course and you will also gain insight into the wonderful art of combining particular sauces with particular types of pasta.

After all of your hard work, descend into our evocative wine cellar, carved out of the rock beneath the Villa, where you will join one of our sommeliers for a wine tasting experience. Finally, wander through to the hotel’s enchanting walled garden where you will dine on the delicious dishes you helped to prepare.
